It's always nice to be wished a happy birthday, isn't it? Now YourPCM can help you with that!
Someone's birthday can easily be discovered on social media, but you can always ask your contacts for this information by phone and email or when you see them next. Careful when asking for the year though as it's still deemed a little rude to ask a lady what year she was born in! The year part isn't that important so if they don't want to tell you just set the year to something arbitrary like 1900.
"The important part is the day and month!"
When you want to show the Birthday column in YourPCM, just visit the SETTINGS popup dialog box and put a tick in the 'Show Birthday' checkbox then hit the UPDATE, button. You'll see a new column appear after the phone number and you can then edit each contact and add their birthday individually. Remember, if they refused to give you their birth year, just put in 1900 here, as that part doesn't really matter.
You'll notice that there's a new standard section called BIRTHDAY up in the top left near ALL, and when you click on it, you'll get a list of all the contacts who have a date in the birthday field with the next birthdays listed at the top and recent ones listed at the bottom. It also accounts for the rollover into next year. Birthdays within 7 days of today are red, amber is between 7 and 21 days then all the rest are green.

So, now you can thrill your best contacts with a personalised birthday phone call, email or SMS text message on or before their actual birthday, but why not send them a physical card in the post? You've got plenty of time! All of our contact records can contain addresses, so make sure that when you ask for their birthday, you get their address too.
